I have been so busy the last couple of days!  There are two friends in town from America visiting and we have spent time together on the island.  Both are very nice, and I met them though exchange program at my university.  They are a cute couple, and neither of them have come to Thailand before.  It has been alot of fun to show them around and to tell them some of Thailand history and culture.

I had planned to go to Bangkok yesterday, but there must have been something special going on there because all of the tickets on the bus were sold out.    So I took that as a sign to wait until today to go. I got up nice and early and left on the 8am bus.

I was happy to see some rain this weekend.  It is the high season, and many people come to Thailand on holiday during our cooler months.  Part of the cooler weather is less rain, so there is not so much humidity in the air.  I like that many people come to Thailand, but am sad that there are not as many flowers and green bushes during the dry months.  So todays rain was really great!  It only rained a twice for a few minutes each, but it was just enough to give the air a nice smell.

I went tonight with my girlfriend to see a movie.  I have wanted to se the new movie Grudge 2, but was too scared to go alone!  I’m glad Ta agreed to go.  Before the movie I stopped by Baskin Robbins and got a small scoop of mangosteen ice cream.  It was delicious!!!

We made our was to our seats as the movie started.  I was scared just during the opening credits!!!  I probably only watched 30 minutes of the movie because the rest of the time I was hiding my eyes behind my hands.
